Welcome to the autumn edition of The Source e-news. We’ve had a busy start to the year recruiting for a range of both key senior roles through to contract and entry level positions across a variety of industry verticals.
Early this year we were engaged exclusively to recruit for Group Procurement at Woolworths. It has been really exciting to be part of one of the largest procurement transformations currently underway in Australia. Like any major engagement we undertake, we conducted both a global and international search and subsequently, have sourced a number of candidates who are relocating from around Australia and even as far a south-east Asia and the UK for the opportunity to join a great team. Our strong international network of contacts and thorough Search process means we can be confident we attract the best talent available across the Asia Pacific region.
While we have successfully filled a number of senior roles at Woolworths, we’re still on the hunt for more talent in the sector. So, if you or someone you know has experience in the field of FMCG and would like to be part of one of Australia’s most significant procurement teams, please be in touch.
We are also looking to fill several senior procurement roles in a range of large well-known Australian corporations. For instance, we have recently been engaged exclusively by one of Australia’s largest telecommunications companies for three senior roles around the General Manager level.
Additionally, we are on the hunt for two positions in one of Australia’s big four banks, which again, are at ‘Heads of’ level within the procurement teams. To add to these, a major global FMCG company and an infrastructure organisation have also engaged us to recruit key senior roles to lead their procurement teams.
Interesting to note, we’re currently seeing strong demand for candidates with niche technical skills and expertise, such as in the e-procurement space. So if you are experienced in this area please let us know.
The procurement contractor market is still seeing strong demand and we’re always looking for great contractors who can quickly jump in to specialised, short and medium-to-short term project work. On the Employer side, if you’re in need of an extra pair of hands to help complete a project to deadline, let us know. We have a growing network of highly-skilled and experienced procurement freelancers available on short notice.
