Tania Seary - Founding Chairman

Tania Seary is the Founding Chairman and former Managing Director of The Faculty.

The Faculty is recognised as one of Australia’s leading advisors on procurement development.  Established nearly a decade ago, The Faculty works with leading organisations to transform and elevate the role of procurement, build high performance procurement teams and create professional knowledge networks.

Under Tania's leadership, The Faculty has instigated a number of "firsts" for the procurement profession, including the establishment of a Procurement Roundtable and a series of Category Councils which include many of Australia's leading organisations, the development of a Procurement Executive Program through Melbourne Business School, creation of an annual CPO Forum and attracting leading global procurement thought leaders to teach in Australia.

Tania’s fascination and commitment to procurement development started around fifteen years ago in the United States.  After finishing her MBA at Pennsylvania State University, Tania became one of Alcoa Inc’s first global commodity managers. Within the centralised procurement group, she was responsible for developing a global cost reduction system, selecting and implementing the company’s eProcurement system, management of a US$100M pipeline of electronic auctions and developing tools and templates for procurement professionals around the globe.

Prior to moving to the USA, Tania’s career was focused on marketing roles within Alcoa Rolled Products, Saatchi & Saatchi and the Walt Disney Company.

Tania has an MBA and a Bachelor of Business.

David Bennett - Senior Consultant

David has over 17 years of executive recruitment experience spanning the UK, Europe and Australia. During his career he has worked for two leading globally listed executive recruitment firms and market leading boutique consultancies.

David has a reputation and track record of successfully sourcing talent within the Melbourne procurement market by focusing on gaining an in-depth understanding of his clients’ needs and their individual workplace cultures and values.  By doing this, he develops solid long term relationships with his clients, based on trust.

David has managed a full spectrum of assignment for a diverse range of clients, including FTSE100, Fortune 500, ASX listed corporates and emerging SME’s.

His goal as always is to provide a highly consultative, responsive and professional service that stands out from the crowd. One that is partnership driven rather than "transaction focused".
